Our Ministry Development Streams offer short, standalone courses that bring together selected subjects from our broader training programs. Designed to provide targeted learning in specific areas of ministry, each stream allows you to build relevant knowledge, develop practical skills and strengthen your ministry effectiveness without committing to a full qualification.

Pastoral Supervision
Supporting people well requires both compassion and the practical skills to respond to complex needs.

The Pastoral Supervision Stream is designed for pastors, ministry leaders and those involved in pastoral care who want to strengthen their ability to support individuals, coordinate appropriate care and provide effective supervision within ministry and community settings.
​
Through four nationally recognised units of competency, students develop knowledge and practical skills in mental health awareness, pastoral and spiritual care, responding to client needs and case management supervision.

CHCMHS001 — Work with people with mental health issues
Develop an understanding of mental health and the skills to support people experiencing mental health challenges within appropriate professional and ministry boundaries.
CHCPAS003 — Plan for the provision of pastoral and spiritual care
Learn to identify pastoral and spiritual care needs and plan appropriate care that respects individual beliefs, circumstances and wellbeing.
CHCCCS016 — Respond to client needs
Develop practical skills to identify individual needs, respond appropriately and connect people with suitable support and services.
CHCCSM014 — Provide case management supervision
Develop the skills to supervise case management practice, support team members and maintain effective oversight of service delivery.

$290 enrolment fee + $1,360 tuition
Enrolment fee payable at registration. Tuition fees are invoiced on a pay-as-you-study basis.

Church Planting
Church planting requires more than a vision. It requires biblical foundations, intentional leadership and practical skills to establish and develop a thriving church community.

The Church Planting Stream brings together focused ministry training to help emerging church planters and leaders explore the foundations of church planting, develop their ministry approach and prepare for the opportunities and challenges of establishing a local church.

NAT11238013 — Plan to initiate a new church
Develop the practical skills to plan for the establishment of a new church, including vision, strategy, community engagement, leadership and the foundations needed to develop a healthy local church.
NAT11238001 — Apply advanced knowledge of the Bible
Develop a deeper biblical and theological understanding of ministry and mission, applying Scripture to the purpose, development and practice of the local church.
NAT11238002 — Compare and explain Christian beliefs and practices
Strengthen your understanding of key Christian beliefs and practices and develop the ability to clearly explain and apply them within ministry and church contexts.
NAT11238010 — Develop and implement ministry programs
Develop the skills to identify ministry needs, plan and implement effective ministry programs, and evaluate their effectiveness within the life and mission of the church.

$290 Non-refundable enrolment fee
$1,360 Accredited OR $760 Audit
Enrolment fee payable at registration. Accredited tuition fees are invoiced on a pay-as-you-study basis only. Audit tuition fees can be paid up-front or pay-as-you-study.
